Slow Wi-Fi: distinguish a device problem from a network problem
Check at least two devices near your main eero. Note whether slowness affects one device, one room, or the whole home. This helps narrow the investigation; it does not by itself prove a fault.
If you already have access to the eero app, run its speed test. That measures the connection between your main eero and the internet, which is different from the Wi-Fi speed at an individual device. Keep the result and the test time.
If practical, compare a device connected by Ethernet to the main eero with a Wi-Fi device. Move the Wi-Fi device closer and compare again. Distance and obstacles can weaken Wi-Fi.
Send Swell support the affected devices, locations, test times and results. Do not buy replacement equipment or factory-reset your network based only on one slow test. A speed test does not guarantee performance on every device or establish the cause of an outage.
